It was morning, and I was on the hunt. It had not been a good morning for photography, as a tropical storm brought clouds and their associated bad light. Many lovely compositions presented themselves, but the light was always wrong. I was hot in the humid morning air, and I realized I had forgotten my mobile phone at home, and so was unable to call home to let the wife know I wanted to stay out. Finally I realized I had to go and began trudging to the car when there it was, a gorgeous light bringing out the little hairs around the edges of the seeds. I had only a moment to get the shot, but that turned out to be enough. It had become a fine morning after all.

You must have been out "tryin" to shoot something in the reminents of Fay. :-)

Neat shot. Especially for those lighting conditions.

I liked the narrative. I could feel the anxiousness in your words. For some reason the white in the background distracts me. The light on the weed is really great as in the simplicity of the photo. Nice find Regmar.

Wonderful image with great detail and composition! While reading your narrative I could not help but hold my breath.
So glad you found this.

When you're through with life and all hope is lost. Hold out your hand 'cos friends will be friends - right till the end.

Oh my goodness Regmar! This is gorgeous! I love how the light hit this grass. I can feel the whole setting, since I used to live in Louisiana...the dampness in the morning air..the heaviness of the morning beginning...the scents of these particular feelings all around...I am so glad you got a good photo after all. (I think I would have been tempted to take out that grey/white thingie) but it's still gorgeous..It's always so good to see one of your postings and read your writingup..thanx so much my friend!!
