Nice 50's shot, Rebecca. Did James Dean stop in while you were there? LOL.

Rebecca - This is a terrific retro-look photo -the diner decor, biker jacket, the waitress uniform. All we need to see is the partially hidden cook in a white t-shirt! B/W is perfect for this photo. Thad

Hey Rebecca
Love these old fashioned diners! The chrome and nickle plate they used sure make everything cheery. Great shot!

I love this one.

:o))

The 'intense' blacks are great (tonal range).

And good good timing, as I don't think you could have scripted this one better (referencing the 'actions'/placement of those in frame).

+favs for me.

Thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)

What a terrific shot ! All it needs is some chef/short order cook in a dingy apron with a cigarette dangling from his mouth to be an absolutely perfect blast from the past.

As Les, perfect tonal range of the blacks & you caught the action again....for lack of a better....perfectly.

We have a diner similar to this one, but what I really like about your shot is that you have a conservatively-dressed older gentleman on the left, in his sweater and slacks, and a Daytona Beach biker, complete with leather riding chaps. They appear to be about the same age but the clothing and lifestyles are wildly polarized. There is one thing they share, however... they have the same exact bald spot. I know! They're monks from different abbeys!

It is a nice capture, very retro-looking and perfect in high-contrast black & white like this.
