Took this last night and decided to post it in the raw- no digital manipulations, enhancements, cropping; completely natural. Taken with a Nikon Coolpix L100. Opinions/advice/comments are welcome!

Cool, that looks like a shadow of the monument, and not the actual thing. Very nice shot!

I really like the way the flags show some color, even as the light is going on the scene. Nice focus. The Washington Monument is shot so often that most people don't need to understand its actual shape or what the tip looks like. I confess I wouldn't have been able to resist lightening the darks just a little to differentiate the tip from the sky and to show the shape of the spire. Your version is much more dramatic than mine would have been.
