Sincerely.
Don't stop offering 'us' some creative and innovative stuff. Please.
Not sure how to approach this one myself, in terms of a constructive critique.
I will say this though, I do see the potential. Very much so. Just something about the composition that doesn't feel right.
More so, that of the lines/shapes that I perceive (lighter grey sections versus that of the even lighter grey sections) that appear ... seem a tad off-balanced.
Sorry, can't express my thoughts any better in the above.
Placement of the reflected/refracted light through the glass within frame? Works..
... ...
Wait a minute. Just recalled something I read about this stuff. Ok, ready?
Right. Here we go ... I shall try to explain ...
'We' generally view/approach images, photos ... from top left and then moving (diagonally) to that of the bottom right. So, with your placement of the dominant shape and colour where you have it ... your image becomes a tad confrontational to 'us'.
As that is almost the first thing that 'we' 'see'. Our viewing of your image is arrested almost immediately. Which, now ... makes sense to me, as to the 'why' I feel kind of, sort of ... unsettled when viewing it.
Our emotions are stirred up, simply put.
That make sense to you?
One way to check, experiment on the above thoughts, would be to place the reflected/refracted light of the glass in the right-hand side. And gauge reactions afterwards.
That nonsense of mine aside, and reiterating ... I do enjoy your fresh ideas. And sincerely hope you are not dissuaded from exploring some more from behind the lens of your camera. :o)
