always the best time to go there by the end of september, less people and beautiful colours .... but cold at night, sometimes frozen water on top of the tent in the morning ....
When I first started submitting photos on Caedes, some very knowledgeable photographers strongly suggested that I NEVER stick the horizon area in the middle of the frame. They told me that I should see if there was a more dramatic version by panning down to the water or panning up towards the sky. I have since learned that they were right. Most of the time I remember what they very generously taught me.
Roland, Roger refers in his comment above about the 'rule of thirds'. He's right, in a sense. But for many, the 'rule of thirds' is considered dogma, when in reality, it's merely a photographic recommendation. It's up to the photographer to decide whether or not to follow the 'rule of thirds' advice. In your case, I think you made a good choice because it preserved the reflections.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
