The heightened contrast really emphasizes the folds created by plate techtonics. Baby mountain in the making.

Much better than the c index reflects. I had to study it for a while to get a sense of perspective. I'm wondering if color may emphasize the backdrop a bit more. I like this one a lot though as I am a huge fan of B&W.

I like the rock texture contrasted with the houses.

I like it, though I'd like to see a version with the buildings cropped out. Visually, I find them distracting - that's just a matter of personal preference, though, I suppose.
