With the Picasa software app, I took an interesting sunset photo and cranked the shadow adjustment down, causing what looks like a radical neutral density filter. I did no noise reduction or coloring at all, simply 'turned-down' the exposure setting in software and did some cropping. A neat feature in Caedes would be a way to post the raw photo side-by side with the final image. As a 'purist', and a former film-camera user, I sometimes question the validity of too much post-manipulation...but I guess it's the end result that counts???
I like your idea of side by side, and you are right it is the end results! If you have done it correctly then you can not tell anything was done!! :) Steve
