Just for grins, desaturated to B&W, then added some color back. Image shot with Canon SX10-IS, cleaned up with NeatImage, color manipulation with Picasa.

A fabulous composition. I love the details in those steely-grey waves, and the purple gradation on the high skyline gives a really moody atmosphere.

Thanks for the positive feedback. You just don't see too many purple sunsets these days.
My only regret is that I wish the ship on the right was further from shore, but as a photographer, I guess it's not your place to direct boats where to park themselves in the frame:)
The perspective on the water was due to the fact that I was standing on one of the gun-turrets of a battleship, around 50 feet above the water, looking almost straight down. The effective focal length was 28mm for this photo.

Now that is a bit odd...
I do like the texture of the water. Your 28mm and altitude above the water made this a unique and interesting shot.
