On top of Signal Hill,CA, there is a statue of two oil workers in honor of all the men who pulled oil from the ground during the oil boom days. The hill, near the ocean, north of Long Beach, still has working oil wells on lots among multi-million dollar homes. This is a closeup of one of those workers. The mid afternoon sun from the west brought out some wonderful details and texture's.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Great shot... you captured the light beautifully... not so sure about the border though.. I personally think it would have been better with a full border around it.. but thats just my preference.... the details of the sculpture are fantastic.... very nice work... well done
