My wife captured this picture of me as I attempted to walk off of the top of Dachstein Mountain in Austria. Ok, not off the top, but it sure looks that way. Below you can see the Lakes District, a place worthy of your travels.

Wow, your mountains are a lot different looking than ours, ours are full of trees with little trails/roads running up them.
