Interesting idea. Maybe a 7. I am kind of a conservative guy.

Well, your image here has me intrigued, Vic.

As the base image looks quite strong, notably on the note of composition and subject matter.

As to your query, regarding a score/feedback on the manipulation itself?

Incorporate your watermark/name - date.. a little more subtly.. and my mark goes from that of 5.0 to 6.5.

Far too prominent, in my humble opinion.. and as presented.

Ends up, to my eyes and mind.. messing with the dream-like quality that you've achieved.

And takes away from the vignetting that serves to direct your viewer's eyes (in my estimation and humble opinion). Works against, simply put.

... ...

I hope you don't mind the two birds with one comment here.. as I did take note of your other recent upload, namely; "A play of flowers".

If I were to give out a score once again.. 7.0 - 7.5.

The vertical presentation works well.
Treatment/post processing is good good.. in summary, 'suitable for framing and hanging'.

... ...

Oh, and I am a 'tough taskmaster' (I think).

For frame of reference.. I wouldn't give any of my own work anything above a 6. If.. that, and that's being generous and honest to myself.

Here's to some quality feedback for you.. and let's see what others think/feel..

I was curious about your original picture, so I transformed it to a negative. I find the original quite pleasing. You are a good photographer. However, I do not find simply taking the negative of a picture as a particularly novel way of producing "shadows." A charcoal or pen and ink rendering would be equally effective.
If you need a score, I would give it a 5.
