My entry for What is it contest. enjoy! The Termite Pavilion at Escot House is a 6m x 6m x 6m cube of sustainable timber based on a three dimensional scan of an actual termite mound in Namibia, southern Africa. It won the 2010 Observer Ethical Conservation Award. Having previously been displayed in Festival Square outside the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank Centre, the Termite Pavilion has now found a permanent home at Escot Park , Devon. Thank you for your votes!

Now this is intriguing Roxana!!!! Looks a lot like a multi-layered building but it's some kind of plywood pieces stacked up!! Really cool whatever it is:):)

I don't believe it's plywood; there's only three layers per unit and I'm not seeing any cross-grain in any of the layers. It's either a sculpture created from stacks of contour-cut laminated sheets of wood, or someplace where these forms have been fabricated and stacked, waiting for delivery. Or... it could be something that completely escapes me, which is normally the case.

A good eye for composition. That looks like a lot of wood for what purpose I don't know. Good luck.

Congratulations on first place Rox. The only thing left is to spill the beans on the identity of this image.
