John, deze muzikant komt me ontzettend bekend voor. Of je hebt eerder een foto van hem naar Caedes ingezonden of ik heb een foto van hem op je site gezien.
Wat deze foto zo bijzonder maakt is dat het onderwerp beeldvullend is. Verstorende details uit de omgeving krijgen zo geen kans. Zijn gezicht leest daardoor als een boek! Geweldig goede foto. Hoop dat deze foto de waardering krijgt die hij verdient. Vrees echter dat niet iedere stemmer deze foto ziet zoals ik hem en wellicht vele andere 'kenners' hem bekijken.

This is a very well taken portrait. The look in his eyes makes you wonder what he is thinking. It is a thaught provoking image. Great shot!

The 'Beautyfuls', 'Gorgeouses' you mentioned in the discussion have their place if the image is beautiful and gorgeous but this is not one of them John.
I think this is a masterful display of character and and well worthy of an 'excellent'.
The only change I may have been tempted to make would have been to crop off some of the right of the image where the lights are shining through, thus bringing him even closer to the viewer.
