A nice shot of what looks to be some new snow on some well done landscape. A grey day perhaps, however the moisture will lead to days of smiles I am sure. :o)

John, thought at first sight that it was a B&W image, but when I was watching this image at full screen size, saw that the grey sky (full of snow or rain?) almost was absorbing all the colours. The result however is a very moody image. Typical for the time of the year. Thanks for this very nice image.

I am impressed! I like the dark stripes across the road with the white tree background! Very Dramatic!

It looks like the sun is on her way to win the struggle :-). Those long shadows makes me suspect that. A very beautiful shot and very well done!

Nice! looks like one of those cloud cover days where you cant really get a good pic, but this is really clear and it makes you feel like you are there!

Very nice presentation John! I agree that these weather conditions usually present photographers a problem but you've prevailed and done quite well - nice post!

Hi John...

I love this image...the interesting feature that impresses me most....is the subtlety of the composition...the aloneness that comes over me...and the things that are brought to mind..while viewing...

The long deep shadows...the atmospheric misty grey.. which overshadows the elements...makes one feel as though time is limited somehow...As Mick.... aka LANJOCKEY would like to say...the image tells a story...it creates a mood of loneliness for me..in this case...as my friend would further choose to express...that when an image tells a story..it creates an emotional response on the part of the viewer....

It is this emotional response that makes an image memorable...and I totally agree with him...This image has done this for me....;o)

A fine job...Sir John...I salute you....you have indeed altered my mood...but in an impressive and creative way....splendid !!

So long for now....

Marilyn

P.S..

I will enter this photo in my favorites for sure....and thank you!!

Top shot.
Composition rocks and your choices re palette and mood match the composition beautifully. Lots of impact.
Peace,
Mikel.
