Oh John!!...What a most wonderful photo this is. I got it in the voting booth, and i wish I could have given it fifty points!! But I did give it TEN...this is the best swan photo I've ever seen. I'm saving it and going to really enjoy this one...I love the ripples in the water and of course all the babies!! I wish I had a huge poster of this...it's fantastic !!!!! Verena

Your depiction of maternal care and nurturing... is so perfect in this image!! How very important and comforting...and natural it is for 'Mom' to care and to protect her young...what a delight it is to see...the animal kingdom excells in it's understanding...instinctively...and intuitively...how it is done...wonderful to see!!
Too bad that in the lives of animals...'mother's day' is not celebrated...for it would truly be a celebration...wouldn't it? We humans have much more trouble with child rearing...and often don't succeed in doing so...we could learn from the 'animal kingdom'...;o)) Wonderful...wonderful...and wonderful...I love to observe the care of their young...
Such a marvelous display of what I speak!! I love it...at present...I have a mother cat...and her three babies at my back deck...while I am sure the mother is still nursing them...and will teach the little ones how to provide for food...I have still called for help...the 'humane society'...will come to take them ...and find homes to place them.....o)
I feel so sorry for the little things...but I am certain...they will be OK!! I do prefer dogs as pets...but I do love all animals...and would never want unnecessary harm to come to them...oh oh...tears are flowing...;o)
Sorry John...if I was too serious...forgive me...OK...I love your image...and it will be in my favorites immediately...
