Refering to your comment on one of my previous posts (of a heron as well), it's my turn now:
"I'll bet he flew away, when he saw you John....!".
It's the first time I see that a heron is enjoying the fragrance of cow parsley, could be even possible that it's gathering a bouquet of it as Mother's Day is near, lol.

Great bird capture. I like the close up perspective. Usually, the perspective is much further away because the birds are so flighty.
