I think this may be a type of katydid but none the less it's a fine shot and makes a good entry for the contest. Best of luck.

I agree with what has been said, I would go with this one for the contest. Russ might be right about it being a katydid, as I have not seen a grasshopper like this. In any case, and great find, and well taken, and very good entry if you choose to use it.
