I posted the original the other day and it was universally hailed as being way to dark. I drove back over to roughly the same spot and took it again today. I'm not sure...I think I may have gone to far in the other direction, but the histiogram in Digital Image is fairly uniform. Honest comments and critiques please!

How could you end up back here if you drove too far in the wrong direction? I am confused. I hope this road takes you by the voting booth Tuesday. Tory party right?

I like this much better. Colors are much brighter and I like the light and shadows. So according to the Histogram, who will win the election. They say all answers to the futuregram lie in the histogram.

Great post GBR.

An over all improvement. Like Tick stated the colors are much brighter & I believe that is what you were originally shooting for. A pleasant autumn scene Rich ... love the shadow play on the road. Truly a magnificent capture.

Best wide-angle lens? Two steps backward. Look for the 'ah-ha'. Ernest Haas

I think both are beautiful. The colors and light are more pleasing here. Though the mood is different in both. Love the golden leaves against the dark limbs and road. I am curious if the time of day was different?

I think your colors are well balanced and I do like this version better. But, in art, does the picture please your eye? The histiogram will give you information and data, your eye will tell you more.

I don't think this is too bright. Looks good to me. Very nice shot of a great place for walking or cycling.

Beautiful, Rich. Lots of similar backroads like that near here. I love the solitude and colors of the image, and, of course, the lighting.
