50 degree temps caused the ice at the lagoon at Greenfield Park to begin to melt and left me with this subtle sunset and rippling reflections. Mark was with me and his version is here. Honest comment and critique please.
All the blue gives it an almost surreal effect, cold & slightly bleak, especially with the dark trees to reinforce the feeling.
In all honesty, & certainly this is just my opinion, you'd have a much more effective image if you cloned out ( or whatever ) that white blob in the center of your sky. Leave in the jet trails or not at your discretion, personally they don't bother me.
But I really do like that icy, other world feel to this & I think re-inforcing it is the way to go. A nice shot, btw.
I really like the lighting here GBRx3. It has created a good mood and also terrific reflections. The cloud doesn't bother me. Nice that you and Mark shared this moment.
I think it's totally amazing how two people can take a picture of the same thing and come up with totally different images... I like the blueness of this and the reflection interspersed and broken up by the ice... Good one (for both of you!)...

It is amazing that the sky turned such a differant color after this one. Both are beautiful and I am glad you waited arournd to take the other shot as well.
