Absolutely no offense was intended with my title. In fact, I have great respect for the man pictured in the white hat. I ahve seen him several times, standing a various streetcorners, with a battery powered megaphone, reading aloud from the Bible, which is what he is holding in his right hand here. No matter the weather he is there. Today was 41 degrees with a cold, cold wind blowing of the lake and intermitent rain showers. Yet there he stood, preaching the Word. Whether you believe in his particular faith or not, one must give him credit for trying to reach out to the people of the Central City and offer them hope. This is not the heart of the Central City, but the periphery, still not considered prime real estate. As you can see by the young men around him he is often heckled, but here he simply ignores the horseplay in front of him and the jeers of those approaching him and continues on with his message. Even this neighborhood, on the edge of the Central City is rife with gangs, drugs and prostitution. The courage and faith this man shows inspires me and fills me with hope.

Wonderful capture & narration to go with it ... I like the message coming from this which speaks for itself. I'm a strong believer in hope & passing it on to others. Very well done Rich.
