Well, Rob, I can see that you're shooting for a very high C-Index with this posting. :-) Personally I love whatever it is you do with Paint.net. The posting is aptly titled, Darth. The force is strong in you. Lovely textures and great use of light and dark contrast.
It looks like they are in sewer water or the victims of an oil spill. I bet they look better then they smell. Dark in more ways then one Rob. Good post.
seriously though, i really dislike the "C rating", ok that was just an inner (outside) thought.
this picture has many creative layers, i see newspaper like coloring and texture, almost cut up or crinkled pieces of newspaper put together to form the coating of the flowers, the ridged object in the upper right is a change in texture and makes you wonder, the shading is great, especially the brown hues, and the amount of the bright colors are just right. great work
how can one use letters, words or prose against its own institution? is it not to say that this accepted alphabet can portray intolerable thoughts against itself; the reflection of these words represent the meaning of ones mindless inquiry, generalizing became this text. . .read the marks behind a letter of assurance/ freedom is jailed within. . ." _ EaB
Veeery interesting! It is quite appealing as a DT. Doesn't matter what it is because I see some discernable objects such as the petunias. I like the definition of each element and the slight color in the flower centers.
I really like the looks of this image Rob. It looks part illustration and part painting. Lovely bits of added colour and nice shading. Very creative and nicely presented.
