Must be nice to "be in the chips" Rob. This would make one tough puzzle. Textures are perfect and I look forward to seeing in as a background in one of your photos. Til then, I will enjoy it as a desktop.
You come up with the darndest things, Rob! As a jigsaw puzzle it would be most aggravating. As a DT, it works. lol A topic of conversation for the DT and not the table top.
I don't know, Rob. Just when I think I can figure you out, you post wood chips. Don't get me wrong. I really like the shot. But you typically are a multi-layered photographer where nothing is what it seems like yesterday's surfer's nightmare. Normally I might expect to see this as a layer of a shot or perhaps a highlight in someone's eye. Maybe being a grandfather has mellowed you out. But I doubt it. Most photographers work in two dimensions and try to add depth to their shots as a third dimension. Time is the 4th dimension. Your shots typically come out of the 5th dimension or the Twilight Zone, I'm not sure which. Nice work but quite atypical.
During the summer months my husband splits enough wood to be used as a heat source for the winter & my job is to gather up the wood chips. I never realized the chips would make a wonderful subject, until I say your image. Excellent textures & detail. Makes for a wonderful desktop as well. Outstanding work, Rob.
Excellent detail and composition; unique and interesting. it reminds me of someone who actually managed to put together a cute door with only wood shreddings. Who knows what you can create or put together with a variety of wood chippings?! Very nice shot =) ♥☺Amanda
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative. Dan Winters - Photographer.
Rob - they don't appear to be off the old block. So I can only assume you are not responsible for them. A good textured capture and nice desktop image. Can't wait to see what else you'll do with it.
