Posting this one for fun I received a compliment from my friend Roger/Dots and I quote “I don't see any manipulation in this shot which is so unlike you”. while it is a heavily edited picture the compliment being that he did not see it. So had to indulge my self here hence the headless Swan. Roger also commented on the dark shadow well got rid of that to.

P.S. No Swans were hurt in anyway in the making of this picture all work was done in Paint.net. In Swan Lake water, Swans, light and colors are all heavily manipulated. ;0)

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

That is funny and just in time for Halloween. The manipulation is very good.

Glad to hear no swans were hurt Rob but since it wasn't flopping around like a chicken with its head off, I thought maybe it was just napping.

A preview of what this bird, were it a turkey, might look like the day before Thanksgiving in the US. Heavily manipulated? Well you foolded me.

I have decided, Rob, that you're full of beans. I simply don't believe that yesterday's or today's shots are heavily manipulated. I have dozens of shots like this where the swan is simply itching his butt. In one case I watched a swan cleaning himself and he appeared to be just about to turn himself inside out as his neck disappeared into his large intestine. I almost expected to see his bill coming out of his mouth. So I say, "Move on, folks. Nothin' to see here. Move on. Just a swan with an itch."

My goodness ... a headless swan. Love the lighting & contrasts ... whether it's heavily edited or not ... it still looks great. Outstanding manipulation, Rob.

That can't be good for the swan, but it certainly cuts back on the feed bill. Nice editing work on your image, Rob.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
