To all my Caedes friends and Paint.net users stumbled on to something that I can't explain. Must say this no kinda joke or something. To start of this is not a fractal the effect as far as I can figure out only happens in Paint.net thats one why only in Paint.net. Number two I'm not going to tell what happens but what to do because I would like to know if we all see the same. As I said this is no hoax or away to get downloads I really want some input here. Download in maximum resolution open the image in Paint.net and use the zoom in and out function tell you it blew me of my chair have no idea if this is a known optical illusion or not so let me know.

Have another one zoom in to level 16 select copy and paste the center star part and drag the selection over the image that will really knock your socks of.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

I don't have paint net so I can not see what your mean Rob. I tried in a couple of other programs but I still didn't get the effect. I will say it is a great desktop.

Whoa ... I think the orange shape is playing tricks on my eyes & that was with the smaller resolution. I took the image into Paint Shop Pro & zoomed in. I see what you mean ... love how it is pulsating. Fascinating work, Rob.

Hi, Rob...

Your shot looks perfectly normal to me. But then again I dropped a bunch of acid and have been staring at the sun for 45 minutes; so everything looks the same to me.

Seriously I dropped your shot into PhotoFiltre and zoomed in at 1600x and then zoomed back out to 200x. The crazy shot seems to be pulsating and/or vibrating. When I looked at the shot in the postage stamp size, I didn't realize that the dark object was your signature. My first thought was that I was looking at some sort of satellite passing in front of the sun. My first inclination was to believe that you had finally confessed to being the extraterrestrial being that we've all suspected and that you had shot this out the window of your space craft on the way home.

I'll check back on your posting and see if anyone but you uses Paint.net. As for me, I think this would make one heck of a black light poster for a Janis Joplin Concert.

I did precisely as you said, Rob, but I didn't see it pulsate. I have seen fractals with close ones vibrate before so I know that it occurs. A pretty sun no matter how you look at it.

Now Rob you are the master of Panint.Net so I am just going have to take your word for it. Great job though.

No paint.net for Linux... and it's not for me. This image has very interesting look in different zoom levels but I didn't see the effect you've explained. Apart from this, this is a very interesting image and nice DT.

I havenīt got Paint.net, but the image is disturbing enough as it is - I canīt look at it because it starts moving around and pulsating right away. Is that the effect you were talking about,or am I just having trouble because Iīm slightly wall-eyed?

A mind-blowing creation, Rob. I guess I really don't need my socks for the rest of the day. A great effect when zoomed in and out like that. Wonderful colours and details in the image.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
