WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT MY COMMENTS ARE GOING TO BE LOUD, ROB? AND I CAN'T IMAGINE WHY YOU WOULD THINK THAT I COULD RAMBLE INCOHERENTLY FOR 800 WORDS. THIS SHOT REMINDS ME OF MY FIRST TRIP INSIDE A HEAD SHOP IN LAGUNA BEACH, CA. BACK IN ABOUT 1964. I WAS ONLY 10 IN 1960; SO MOSTLY BACK THEN I WAS INTERESTED IN DODGEBALL. BUT IN 1964 AND LATER I REMEMBER SEEING THE MAMAS AND THE PAPAS ON THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW AND WONDERING ABOUT THESE ODD LOOKING PEOPLE IN THEIR WILD COLORED OUTFITS AND LONG HAIR. SHORTLY THEREAFTER I BOUGHT MY FIRST BLACKLIGHT POSTER AND MY FIRST ROCK ALBUM. TO THIS DAY MY SHORT TERM MEMORY IS SHOT FOR REASONS THAT DO NOT DIRECTLY INVOLVE THE MAMAS AND THE PAPAS OR BLACKLIGHT POSTERS. YOUR SHOT IS NOT ONLY GROOVY, BUT IT'S FAR OUT.
I see that you like working with these pulsating images, Rob. This one is not only a wowzer as Kathy called it, but a doozie too. This one should wake you up in the morning and put you to sleep at night. I don't know how you accomplished this, but I am taken with it and faved it for its unique and bold qualities. I see that Roger couldn't come up with 800 words. lol
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
I think Roger might have consumed a little too much far-out-ness... He'll become more verbal as it wears off... I think...omg, I can't believe I said that on a family site... If I had put this on a wall in my Cambridge (Massachusetts) apartment somewhere in the 60's I'd still be there! It rocks! mary
In this picture, I think of the eyes of owls and the patterns of butterfly wings. Thanks for sharing this creative and fascinating piece of work, because I really love owls and butterflies! lol Wonderfully done :)
