I like the dark mood this sets, Rob. It looks like a fine black and white with enough light to illumine the red parts of the boat too.

I like the dark mood of this image. The line of cranes on the boats caught my eye. Outstanding work, Rob.

In my opinion this is the best shot you've ever posted, Rob. Your dark, moody shots have always been my favorites which is why I started calling you Darth. So it brings back happy memories to see this dark and dreary industrial wasteland because I have a suspicion that it was taken on a beautifully sunny day. If my opinion means anything at all, your best work is of these masterful manipulations. I can't see anything about this shot that I don't like and admire about your work. I love the black and white with just a drop of coloration. Spectacular clarity capturing the rigging on those cranes. Beautiful work and a fave from me.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

Wonderful work, Rob. The effect is really great. The scene looks like moonlit but not.

Rob - Very effective photography - the dark tones work very well for this scene. It has the tone of a moonlit night shot. Thad

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
