The rust makes it look like blood stained scars from all the fighting it has been doing Rob.
A wonderful post.

Rob I wish she could talk. She would probrably tell us stories that would raise the hair on the backs of our necks. A great capture of this seasoned old girl.

Wonderful color tone effect to this old ship. I think it is contaminating the water though don't you? Great capture.

Hi, Rob.....

Maybe I'm seeing two adjacent boats but I don't think so. It's almost like they dropped a new cabin on top of the rusted hulk below. The modern structures in the background really add to the contrast. The boat looks shot and rusted to the core. Yet the pilot's area and the rigging look pretty new.

You know me. I love a good shot of some rust. There's enough rust here for three primo shots. I'll bet you could get a great deal on this ship. Just take it across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal, up the coast of Central America and Mexico and stop in the port at Morro Bay. I'll treat you to a fish sandwich at McDonald's.

I went to the beach today after seeing your posting of the windmills along the shoreline. There were no windmills or pools of oil on the shoreline.

That's not rust on the ship, that's camouflage paint. This is one of the Dutch navy's secret warships getting ready to go fight pirates in the North Sea. Good colours, lighting and great textures in the photo, Rob.

Rob - A few gallons of paint and she'll be good as new, sort of. The lighting is excellent in highlighting the rust on this old tug. Thad

Oh my, I guess she has. Why are boats always she, anyway? The color return is quite good and you nicely filled the frame with her presence.

I like this shot. It is interesting how the upper part looks, at least from here, a lot newer. Enjoyed this.
