You did a great job on the post photo work , Rob. I'm sure that the sky was a screaming mess of noise, but it looks great now. Considering the telephoto-osity of this shot, you cleaned it up well. From what you've said of Rotterdam and the coal fueled electricity, my guess is that the air quality isn't always clear.

I wasn't sure what the ^%$# you were saying in your narrative until I studied the shot for a minute. I even looked up millet. Am I an idiot or what?

Around here we have a windmills that generate electricity. They don't look nearly as nifty as Momma. I was most impressed with the contrast of the ancient windmill in the foreground and those gigantic and very modern transformer structures in the distant background.

Roger

P.S. I heard about my critique of yesterday's "Dismal 2". Apparently "thingers" is not a word to be used in mixed company or in your case interspecies.

INCREDIBLE ....
I mean the general message of this image is simply incredible - mills of completely different kinds.
BTW In Polish the wind power generators are also referred to as the mills.
Unless I am wrong, of course.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

As the Millets say: "No pain, no grain." The world is topsy turvy and the plants don't know want to do. Maybe you can have a bowl of early cereal Rob.
It looks like a battle of The Renaissance versus the Industrial Age versus the Electronic Age. I believe the Windmill is must more attractive then all the others.

Looks like the old and the new came togather in this capture. Its a great one that would do well in the contest.

The twins must take after the father as they look nothing like dear old Mom. A good capture of the old style windmill, Rob.
