Rob....if I'm not mistaken this is the same unidentified species of flower that you posted a few days ago. There was some speculation that this was an invasive alien species not dissimilar from the ones shown here. They look gentle of placid enough, but looks can be deceiving.
Once again my first comment regards your title and very brief narrative. I'm not sure that the title really says it all. While it's a fine title, it's not nearly the best title I've seen in my life. And it certainly do3esn't say it all. In fact it only says, "Flower 2" which is quite a bit less than everything. If I put it all in my right hand and your title in my left hand, there would be more stuff my right hand, don't you think?
I think you oversaturated the color in the berries.
These grow by the roadside here too and they always are very pretty to see. I love the white and gold flowers against the deep green leaves. Nice clear shot, Rob.
I think this is "Meadowsweet" a herb that grows in damp meadows and roadside ditches . They have a strong fragrance and you can smell it in the evenings. Very nice closeup photo of this beautiful wildflower with good details.
Rob - Alas, it appears that Susanne has identified the mystery (aka Rogdot - alien) flower. The side lighting was a good choice, as it allows the delicate elements of the bloom to show so well. Thad
Such a cool flower. The unopened buds remind me of the ice cream dots my granddaughters had at the Detroit Zoo on Sunday. Enjoyed this image. Amazing flower. Tom
