Pretty darn weird, Rob. This one only has the single padlock, but the hardware looks so rusted and inadequate that it looks like a good pull on the handle would pull down the entire door and break the hardware. That telltale shrub that's peeking up from the bottom seems to indicate that these are not heavily traveled areas. Why would anyone put a $30 padlock on such a corroded mess?

Nonetheless, I'm a big fan of rust, as you know. The many layers of peeling paint add another level of interest and reveals the bare steel below. You've captured this mystery very well. I probably would have looked around to see if anyone was watching and would have given the door a good yank. More than likely you'd only scare the hell out of a bunch of rats.

Such a little lock for a big door Rob. They have probably lost the key anyway so go ahead and give it a big Skitzo. I mean Jerk. :)
I too like the multiple layers of paint.

Neat capture Rob. Whatever was in there that was extremely valuable must be gone. Only one lock now.

This must be pretty low to the ground cause I see a weed or something growing up in front. Couldn't have paid a lot for that lock as it looks like one jerk and open it would come. Still in need of paint but it's a great photo.

Perhaps a good place to store all that stuff we keep on accumulating? One lock or two tells you if it is the really good stuff, or just stuff we aren't ready to throw out yet. Interesting shot.

Could this be someone's storage unit? I think we could jimmy that latch and find out. Nice detail again, Rob.

I really like the layers of paint and the floral arrangement.
Wonder what is behind those doors. Good detail and texture.
Great shot, Rob.

Appearances an be deceiving. Some mastermind has purposefully created the appearance of a run-down and rust eaten lock and door. When in actuality the entire apparatus is constructed of titanium alloys. The final dastardly deed was to plant thistles in front of the structure deterring all but the thickest skinned photographers.
Another interesting find and capture, Rob. Nice textures and colours in the photo.

I wonder what´s in there? Has someone been trying to get in without a key? There is a lock missing. Great textures in this shot.
