This is the back side of the old city jail in Rotterdam the Noordsingel well kinda anded some pain to this picture you will have to look for it but when and if you see it tells a stoty I think.
You do have a special gift when it comes to capturing textures and bricks, Rob. While I don't see any of The Doors in this postings, I am reminded of this song although I suspect that more folks inside the jail were singing the blues than rock and roll. I am intrigued by the dark discoloration especially to the right of the windows. The brick, like most everything else in Rotterdam, seems to be covered in soot. Is that what's causing the nearly black colors on the right?
I am amazed at the variety of shots you find in Rotterdam. You harborside shots are gritty and covered in graffiti. Every so often the governing body of Xenon asks you to concentrate on those beautiful building along side the canals with a windmill in the background.
Love the horizontal colored bricks along the bottom and around the windows. They make the monotone bricks looks that much filthier.
We have some politicians that should be there right now Rob, instead of running for reelection. Surprisingly beautiful for what it is. I think I see some pain in the bricks.
Great looking artistic photograph and love the colours and textures in the brick work too.Plus I can see the faint out lines of people especially a persons arm and a face to the lift of the windows.
It's very impressive, I'm looking but don't know what I am seeing exactly. Maybe a fist and an arm, nice layering I'd say. Great texture and color tone.
Another cool work Rob. The prison is quite interesting. I can see two hands and one arm, but I am having trouble 'seeing' the rest. I can see where it is, but can't yet make it out. I will save it and figure it out eventually. I like the darkness of this, the uniformity and the idea behind it.
Nice lines and textures here...I do see something in the brickwork but not sure what...sometimes I think I'm looking at a person, other times I think I see an elephant, lol...will have to study this one some more.
Excellent manipulation work Rob. Great lines and textures in the photo. Like the others I can make out parts of the bas-relief work in the bricks, but can't make out the whole image. Thanks for driving me mad for the past 20 minutes trying to figure it out.
