Trash Art are recycled pictures I have taken in Rotterdam buildings, street art, flowers, trees, brickwork and anything else at street level grinding and pounding them into what I call Trash Art.
Wonderful use of light in the highlights in her hair. I also recognize what appears to be a rusted dumpster and especially like the detail in the fabric of her coat. While I have no idea whatsoever how you achieved this work of art, especially where the fabric is combined with the pealed paint and rust of the dumpster, I can appreciate your rare and varied skill set. I think you mentioned once that you were some sort of civil servant for the government. You missed your true calling. In my humble opinion, many of these shots should be transferred onto canvas, framed and sold. People would pay good money for your work, Rob.
Faves for me. I would do an AC nomination, but the box is gone which means that somebody for there before me. Stunning work, Rob.
Much more subtle than some of the others. In this, it seems she has become part of the texture rather than the texture encasing her. And yes, I do believe these would make good canvases. Excellent.
Really very lovely Rob. This one reminds me of an old 80's song called "Lady in Red" by Chris de Burgh. I don't normally care for the color red, but this is perfect for her. I really like the 'worn' look of the top layer and I love the way that you've captured her, facing away from the camera. A wonderful work of art my friend!
Another one from your zombie apocalypse series? A nice splattering of blood and brain matter on your model. That's going to take a bit to clean off properly. A great profile presentation of the subject and great textures and colour tones in the image Rob.
