Regarding your brain and your mind, Rob, we can make some educated assumptions.
#1: Brain Trauma. There has been some physical damage. Perhaps you were dropped on your head repeatedly as a child or have suffered a number of debilitating strokes.
#2: Emotional Trauma. You were severely mistreated as a child or perhaps were involved in a serious car wreck which left you emotionally scarred.
#3: Xenon Factor. All inhabitants of your galaxy have what we might call a skewed view of earth and its people.
