I do like this the branches that are weaving across the scene with with the light playing across them adds a lovely feel to the art work and the character as a Far East look about them and stunning composition too.
---kinda like this one myself well will see if the comments are kind---
Reading your narrative , think you're a (too) humble person Rob. By saying: 'If the comments are kind', it seems that you have some doubts about the quality of this art-work. But I can ensure you that there's nothing wrong with it. It's on the contrary. Think Doug has hit before me the nail on its head by qualifying it as 'thought provoking art'. I agree with him for more than 100%!. Thanks for another 'stunner' my friend.

WOW!!!! Extraordinarily spectacular render Rob!!! Rich, bold colors and the blending of human and non-human is remarkable!! Richly artistic and well balanced image with a hint of Egyptian in this. Super Rob and faved!!!!!!!!!!!
I like this one alot, Rob...the lighting is wonderful and the facial expression of this being suggestive of wisdom, gentleness, humility...I would agree with Roger as to the Far East look and the branches might be viewed as literal bondage but with a seeming acceptance to his circumstance, or something more symbolic as Sandi suggested, entwined in his own thoughts...very thought-provoking and great work of art...a must fave for me.
First glance, I was not drawn to this at all. Then I viewed the full version and well, lo and behold, the textures were ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! This made all the difference, amazing technique, lighting is superb, expression reminds me of ancient Greek sculptures. Very well done, would love to see your work include a full figure of a person.
