Wow this is a stunning photography with beautiful colours and great detail, that lovely and sharp and stunning blue sky backdrop with no nose to be seen and I love the 3D effect as if the rose is jumping out the screen at you well.Thats a nice touch to with the droplets of rain on the leafs too,
I think you may have layered the yellow rose onto the background, but to me it looks like this is exactly how you captured it as the image is totally flawless. Lovely rose & beautiful work, Rob.
You are so good at what you do Rob, if it is a manip, I can't pick it out. You possibly might have added the water drops to the leaves because there are none on the rose. Mitch Miller would be proud.
To me it's a two layered image Rob. The background layer is captured in the back ground garden of a house in a common street in Holland. The yellow rose layer is captured from a cultivated rose possibly bought in a flower shop or something else. The water droplets are added by a spray bottle by either the florist or you. Whether right or wrong, the result is perfect my friend.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
It's a gorgeous burst of yellow sunshine which is lovely to see on a dull, wet October day. As for your manipulation, I think the rose and the background are a marriage.
I Think you took away the original background of the rose and then layered it on to the new background. I am only guessing. I hope you will tell us what you did. It is very well done though and looks Lovely.
Rob, looking forward to your next post. This one is beautiful (I love yellow roses) and I like what you've done here. It looks like an overlay to me also, but I will await your unveiling.
