Check out the guy on the ladder...think the original B&W would be about 1950 some were in Rotterdam Delfshaven maybe. About 7 years a go acquired a box of B&W photo's with the negatives scanned them in and have not done anything with them this is to practice colorization. The picture quality is not all that good could enhance but left the B&W for the most part for what it is. Tried very hard to get the colors right for the period. Colorization is fun to do think for the most part I nailed it. Do not know who took the pictures artist unknown but as I have the photo's and negatives the Code of Conduct is not violated.

Perfectly done, Rob. If the ladies are still alive, think they were amazed by your treatment as I do. A real revival of the nostalgia 'pur sang'.
I've said it again, but with the danger that I'll be considered as a boring person: you're a virtuoso, my friend! Kudos!!!!

I've been waiting for more of those old scanned images that are now in your possession and this one does not disappoint...fantastic work on the coloring, Rob, and intriguing to see the old-fashioned hairstyles and clothing...would make an excellent entry in the retro contest so best of luck if that is your decision...a fave for me being the sentimental soul that I am for images such as this.

Wow! What a treat it would be for me if I had random rolls of film to go through, not knowing what you'd find. You did a wonderful job colourising this shot.

Incredible work, you are gifted, what a tremendous photograph. It says a lot, not only in their faces, demeanor and clothing, you surely get the essence of this time in this photo, but it kind of shakes you up to see the changes since then. This is truly a great effort.
