Since the kids are just standing still I can't really tell if they are waiting for dad or are leaving work. However, if this photo comes from a collection concerning child labor practices, then it's a short leap. I do like how you colorized the girl and left the rest alone. It really brings the emphasis where it belongs.

Rob, another one with a very appropriate treatment, letting intact the authenticity of the original one.
It's like that the photographer (Lewis Hine) already had available a rudimentary color film, instead of a B&W/sepia film.
Think he would be very amazed of the by you achieved result.
Perfectly done per usual, my friend!

The selective editing really works so well, and I also like the motion effect that we can see. Fantastic addition to this superb series.

The selective colouring is perfect for this. I think she waits for her father pr brother, I don't want to think of one so young working in that mill

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It looks like they are headed to something important Rob. It reminds me of the scene of the girl in the red coat in the movie "Schindler's List."
