A fine specimen...and your post work not too shabby either, lol...seriously, great work, Rob...and this guy looks like he could have been in movies, the swashbuckler type, like Errol Flynn.

Social Security number 535-07-5298 was issued to Clarence N. Horn, who was born September 29th, 1917 and died November 26th, 1999. He was born in Washington (state, I'm assuming) and died in Arlington, Snohomish County, WA. I realize the data that the Library of Congress has from the photo indicates that's his wife in the background, but apparently, in other records, there are no known marriages or children on file for Clarence. I suppose he could have simply told Lange, the photographer, that she was his wife, while only cohabiting with her. Realizing the dates of his birth and the publication of this photo, he was only 22 (or so) when the photo was taken. I wonder if any fool out there has since tried to use his SSN for nefarious schemes? I found his name rather quickly, using the SSN on Google.

He does look like he could have been a movie star, Rob. Probably what kept him from it was trouble remembering or he couldn't read.
Well done.

Inviting scene, original, really pulls you back in time, there is so much that you can read into this shot. Your work on this is perfect, so interesting to view these photos. You provide us with not only improved photos, but give us an awareness of how times have changed.

One look at the image and it was clearly a Lange photo. The color work was classic Rob. Well done!
