This image coincides with recent video evidence of ball lightning traveling at very high speed from thunderclouds to the ground. The events happen at several miles per second and yet no one reports damage, or even an impact site. Very strange. This image could be like one of those Cold War photo's of nuclear detonations microseconds after they occur - grainy, monochrome, and fascinating.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Oooooo! I really like this!! It's sort of ... industrial grunge abstract.
The rusty coloring perfectly compliments the grunge texturing and is warm and attractive and seductive.
The image appears to present a tale or have a meaning. And like all quality abstracts, that tale will vary between viewers, encompassing a different meaning for each. Isn't that amazing and wonderful?
I would hang this in my home, Rob. It's impactful art!
Love the old photos but have missed your trash art too...I really like the background and color of this one...perhaps the globe signals the arrival of the trash art artist?
It's so nice to see that trash art is back in your repertoire Rob - and this image didn't disappoint it's a real treat for the eyes - love the overall colors, textures and the sphere - Excellent Work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This style and rendering of yours, Rob, reminds me a lot of the earliest known surviving photo ever taken, by Joseph Nicephore Nicephore niepce nicpce in 1826. The scene was taken from an upstairs window from his estate in Burgundy. That image has stuck with me ever since I first saw it back in the mid-70's, in one of my college photography courses.
