The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

My immediate impression was a humorous adaptation of the "strange fruit" idea of imagery. "See, Billy? That's the spoiled rotten apple I warned you about... the one that throws pots and pans on your head. You shouldn't pick or eat it".

Fun for Monday, Rob.

That swing brings back memories of the one we had from a huge tree in North Carolina. You are the true master at doing the colouring - this one makes me feel like I'm back in time

A delightful nostalgic reminder of childhood back in the old days...the kids doing what kids do and the environment speak of the simplicity and kinder times they lived in...love it...and as always, your treatment thoughtful and well executed...faved.

Rob, like to join me in the comments of Pat (Skates) and Pat (SAW). To me it's an idyllic and joyful scene. Perfectly colorizing, in particular the detailed and playful colorizing of the colorizing of the ropes. Proves again to me that you've very good eyes for details, my friend.

When we first arrived in New Zealand we rented a house that had an orchard just like this but much smaller. This scene brings back so many memories of that time. Although I had no swing and was not as pretty as the girl I had a dress almost the same and my little brother used to climb the trees.
You have made a wonderful job of this and thank you for bringing back memories of such happy times.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Application of colors here is spot on. Unique and original result, so rare to see something that is not always done, and for it to work so very well.

Back in the day when I was this young the photograph that would be taken would give you pleasure because you would have to colorize it as well. Pictures that were taken then were black and white. If there were color images to be had it wasn't available to us at the time. Did lots of swinging on the old oak tree with a homemade swing. Brings back memories. Thanks, Rob.
