With a last name as generic as Smith, I'm guessing her first name was either Mary or Millicent or Mirabelle, or even Minnehaha (the star brooch at her neck looks very Native American). ;oP When first I studied her face I was taken by her likeness to an American actress, Sara Gilbert.

Prof Knik is right on about her looking like Sara Gilbert.
Judging from her hair, she must have went to the photographers in a very fast open top buggy.
Something about the clothing that makes me think of Cossacks.
Great coloring as always Rob.

Subtle and apt way of colorization, Rob. Not overdone.
Ticks comment about her hair style made me smile. Judging the outfit that she wears, think there's wasn't a lack of money to get a 'snip & clip', ☺ .
Perfect work per usual, my friend!

She looks like a Madeleine to me :)
You have coloured her beautifully. She has a gentle beauty and a little sadness about her eyes.
Nice work, as always Rob

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
