The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Perfect resizing and colorization, Rob.
If I had your skills, think I would have removed the wite bar at top of the frame. It wouldn't mean any loss of authenticity.
But that's up to you of course, and I respect your choice!
Although Miss Willie Kilgore has passed away already for a lot of years, the colorization process make that its seems that she has a revival.
Very good work per usual, my friend.

I can just picture her head shooting out of the top of the dress when she pulled it on Rob. :)
Wonderful colorization.

I wonder was she Wilhelmina. She has a school-teacherish look.
You have perfectly revived her to her rather gentle beauty Rob

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Wonderful coloring and what a head hair, can you imagine combing through it? Well, anyway you did a fine job with bringing this photo to life.

The only outside identifier I see in this photo, on Willie, is what appears to be an oval gem sewn into the stiff neck of her dress. I saw that you gave it a green cast but it could have originally been any color and could have represented an organization, been her birthstone, or simply have been her favorite color. I agree with some of the others that she could have been a teacher or maybe a librarian, and, at her age (30, maybe?) and with that gentle but knowing smile, must have been satisfied with her life. I like the name "Winnie", and agree with Lyn that it's most likely short for Wilhemina ("Mina" works, too). My mother's middle name was Clementine, a name she got from her aunt, "Clemmy", who was born in the late 1800's. Women back then would often create fun variations of the 50-pound names given to them by their parents.
