There isn't a lot in this photo with which to identify this dignified looking gent, other than his lapel pin and nearly invisible tie pin, just below the knot. The lapel pin looks a bit like a figure 8 without the inner curves or the link of an anchor chain, so maybe... merchant marine? The tie pin has the shape of a four-petalled flower, so possibly... a fireman? It's hard to say. A mystery for us but an excellent family heirloom for someone of that age, and a good selection and colorization by you, Rob.

Happy Trails

Rob, I think that Mr. 'Incognito' would have been very surprised if he had seen his portrait in color.
The result of the colorization process is that good that he would have demanded that his name was been placed under this portrait, in order to escape anonymity forever, ☺ .
Perfectly performed job again, my friend!

Perfectly done Rob.
I think he has rather a concerned look - maybe he did not really like having his photo taken. He is very well dressed. Maybe part of a group of weeding photos.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

At first look my thought was that maybe he was worried he would not be remembered. I sure like the results you got on this one, bravo! tigs=^..^=

It seems the negative has been scorched, you worked very well to get this clear picture from it.

" I think that Mr. 'Incognito' would have been very surprised if he had seen his portrait in color."

What would he think about his picture being on a magical box that connects around the world. LOL.

It is like he is watching you colorize him Rob. Haunting expression.
Well done once again.

Very subtle with your skills here, but works brilliantly. Photos capture emotions and we are so curious to examine the meaning, intriguing. Excellent work.
