The flesh tones and lighting on her face are spot on Rob - like the combo of colors your choose for her clothing - she's wearing her best victorian garb for her portrait - Excellent!!!!!!!!

She looks like someone who is ageless Rob. She could be anywhere between 18-50. Some people are just like that.
Interesting choices of clothing colors. They give her a quiet confidence and almost a loner attitude. Well done.

A somewhat youngish woman, I'm thinking, perhaps in her very early 20's? The combination of the fur edging on the brown jacket and the light creamy yellow dress is a proper match of colors, Rob. They are both in the warm spectrum and would have been a natural choice for her or any woman back then. It's the color combinations and "fashion" I see today that make me think to myself, "My God, woman... what were you thinking? You're up for the day. You're in a grocery store. You couldn't leave your pajamas at home?" The young woman in your photo lived at a time when most people took some pride and interest in how they looked in public. "Jeez, Louise, dude, the crotch of your jeans is even with your knees!"

Rob, if this image wasn't published between 1873 and ca. 1916, it could have been a portrait of one in my sisters-in-law.
Although I don't believe in reincarnation, the comparison is striking to me. This strange feeling is enhanced by your perfect way of colorization. An intriguing result indeed, my friend!

Beautifully done Rob.
I like this woman - she looks as though she would have a good sense of humour and does not take herself too seriously. Her hair, though very pretty is not coiffured and twisted as some of the ladies of that era preferred and often looked quite artificial. She appears to have it tied in a simple bow at the back.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
