What a great scene. A boy and his dog. Both seem very happy about the arrival of someone or thing.

Love it. Probably because of my heritage, I would picture him as a red head.

Love this oldie, that you did such a good job on with the colorization. A farm boy, and his buddy, I don't think it gets much better than this.

A portrayal of days gone by, the relationship between a boy and his dog, and some simple pleasure that brings a happy expression on the faces of both...a marvelous choice of image to work on, Rob, and as always, you've given it just the right touch of color to fit the times and environment..

Your colorization, again and again, remarkable. I love these photos, you are giving us history, a remembrance of the past, moments that are rare and missing in the vast wasteland of media communication today. This boy and his dog, wow, I have such strong emotions viewing this scene, it actually brings tears of joy that something so simple can be so beautiful. A favorite for me.

'Friendship' (from both sides) couldn't be better visualized than this way, Rob. When compared to the original B&W version, your excellent way of colorization has added a charming feeling in general and a warm feeling in particular.
Excellent work per usual, my friend!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

This certainly brings back my youth for me. A block away fro our house was the edge of town and hay fields, now a Baptist church, convenience store, gas station, Eagles Club, and a housing tract. Back then the field was covered by the traditional 80-pound hay bales and we had an agreement with the farmer that if we stacked the bales for him, we got to play with them... as long as we didn't break any twine. Oh, the castles and forts we used to build!!! And the smell of fresh hay!!!

That image could very well have been like a picture of me on the farm with my black lab. Nice job but my hair was cotton top then.
