News flash who is the mystery ballplayer? found this image while browsing the Library of Congress. Saw the above man working on a negative and thought could I change it to a positive B&W and yes it does work. Did the google thing but could not find the above image know the team, think I know the player? But which game, stadion/city, states win or lose. Wil do a colorize on the picture but would like some more info before I post so if you have knowledge/or looking for a challenge or just totally and utterly bored all input is welcome.

Rob, you've performed an excellent job by only converting the original B&W negative into a positive one.
To me, you're a magician, my friend!
I've searched for some details about this New York Yankees baseball team, etc. too, but, like you, I couldn't find any details as well. Maybe because we're 'foreigners' (☺). Hope therefore that our American friend 'Nik' can provide us with some details.
A very interesting post however!

I'm thinking it could be Yogi Berra, the ever famous ball player. But heck if I know for sure, but I do know for sure, is this superbly done, excellent job on the presentation my friend. tigs=^..^=

I'm putting my bet on Joe DiMaggio. (Yogi Berra didn't start playing for the Yankees until 1946.) Go Red Sox! ;-)
