For people who are living in the wealthy part of the world, it's hard to imagine now that these families had to live in such circumstances, but as I just indicated, we have to realize that nowadays lots of people are dealing with this struggle for life as well.
Rob, your always perfectly chosen colors for the colorization process, make it not to a romantic and/or idyllic work, but are showing us even better the hardship than the original B&W photographs.
Proves your skills in this matter again to me, my friend.

I woder what they were thinking when they had this photo taken.I think Sandi is correct - there will be another mouth to feed before long. The children's hair is remarkably well groomed.
I hope they had a good life.
You have again sympathetically coloured a candid picture of the times with your expertise .

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Three in the door and one in the oven. Comparing the four faces here there's no doubt about their maternity, they look just like mama. I notice the mill saw grooves on the boards of the walls, a mark of meager income in those days. Today people pay a pretty penny for that same kind of wood... if only that were true back then, the sharecroppers could have pulled in better income.

Excellent work, again. Coloring adds so much to this scene. Such a dramatic capture, speaks volumes.
