What a contradiction, Rob. I don't only mean the difference in the original B&W version and your colorized version (perfectly done per usual), but the difference in your previous contributions, showing us the heartbreaking hardship that was suffered by the portrayed persons. Think that this (wealthy?) little miss in her young life never has experienced what poverty can do with people.
A perfect portrait however. The credits for your processing go to you, because of a well dosed colorization, achieving a non glamorous result. Kudos, my friend!

I agree with Cornelius concerning this one, Rob. The cost of that dress is probably equivalent to a year of monetary gain for the sharecroppers you have been showing us. There has always been a division between those with and those without money, but it is time, population, and opportunity that has widened that gulf. When the first unit of measurement that would constitute money was created, 5,000 years ago in ancient Sumer, a half-gallon of barley was that unit. Back then, kings and merchants were on one side of the economic dividing line, all others were on the other side. Today one can drive through rural Arkansas and pass home after home that uses cinder block towers as the foundation for the front porch, then suddenly around the next turn appears a gated community with the roofs of mansions appearing above the wall. I saw this during a drive west of Bentonville, Arkansas, home of Walmart. It is unfortunately the direction in which the world is moving. None of this, of corse, takes away from the beauty of this young woman or your skill at bringing her to life, Rob. Kudos, as always.

[incidentally, I have always identified myself closer to those folks with the cinder block porch supports, having worked my touchas off for anything I have]
