Oh no...now you've graduated us to JUMPING spiders, no less!!!
I think you used to sit behind me in the sixth grade and put frogs in my desk..lol...great macro...I'm only pulling the spider's legs out one by .......ah....I'm only pulling your leg!

Thanks for the comments. I only got two shots of this 1/8" spider and then it was gone. The eyes on top of the thorax are, I assume, to watch for predators as well as prey. Their main vision though, is through the very large forward facing eyes. Jumping spiders belong to the family Salticidae and are very diverse and effective hunters. Verrrrry nice pic.
But why oh why did you have to remind me that there are spiders that can jump!!!
I can outrun (most) spiders.... but if I could get away from one that can jump???
Aw she's beautiful! Jumping spiders are my favorite. That's a fantastic shot of her (or him I don't know) Incredible clarity and DOF. Kept one we found in my curtain for a while and named it Woolly. Woolly was HUGE! Thought he'd be happier in the garden.
Now this is awesome!!! I'm not a big spider fan, but I let these little guys share my house because they are such good bug catchers :) Beautifully done.
