These trumpet shaped purple flowers are about 2-3 inches long and about an inch across the flared end that I've shot here at about 1X. They hang in bunches of around six to ten, with the open ends facing down. This particular blossom isn't fully mature, which is why I chose it. They wither and fall apart quickly in just a few days.

The eyes are immediately drawn to the center of the flower, as it is so very well photographed. But then, when the feast there is done, the journey is further enjoyed as the focus of the petals stands out and beckons a longer stay.
